How to set up free delivery of your prescriptions
Hi there! As a member of Decent, you have the option to set up free prescription delivery through our partnership with Costco. The process is a tiny bit complicated (unfortunately, we can’t do it for you. If we could, we would). Good news: you’re in great hands with this guide.
What you’ll need
- Your Decent insurance card
- About 15 minutes
How to get set up
Step 1: Set up your Costco account
Go to pharmacy.costco.com and select “Create an Account,” which you can find behind the “Sign in / Register” option in the top right:
Feel free to skip the “Add membership” portion of this form:
Step 2: Fill out your patient profile
Once you set up your account, you’ll be prompted to add your membership option again (they’re quite persistent). You can ignore that and go to your patient profile here:
Follow the on screen instructions and prompts starting with Account & Patient Info.
On the second page you’ll be prompted to link your insurance (that’s us!). When asked if you’d like Costco to bill a prescription insurance plan, select “Yes” and pick “Costco Health Solutions” (Decent partners with Costco Health Solutions to administer your Pharmacy Benefits.):
Use your insurance card to fill out the rest of the information requested on this page.
Step 3: Enter your payment information
Next, you’ll have to enter your preferred payment information. This will be used to cover the out-of-pocket costs of your prescriptions (either a copay or coinsurance, depending on the Decent plan you selected).
Step 4: Complete your personal information.
How to order your prescription
After setting up your account, you’re probably wondering how to actually get your prescriptions shipped to your house. Here’s how:
Step 1: Set up a new prescription
At this point, you may need to have your prescribing physician submit your prescriptions to Costco Pharmacy.
Enter your prescriber's information, enter the drug information, and select a shipping method.
Step 2: Verify your prescription request
Next, you’ll be prompted to verify that your order is correct. If you need to make changes to your order, billing address, or shipping address, click Add/Change Address and submit your changes.
If everything looks to be in order, click “Complete Prescription Request”.
Step 3: Receiving your order
Now the hard part: waiting.
Your order will be processed within 1-4 days of the pharmacy receiving your prescription. Once the order is processed and payment is confirmed, Costco will ship your order via the shipping method you selected. Please make sure that you have enough of your prescription to last you while you wait for your shipment.
And you’re all set
There you go! Free prescription delivery right to your front door!
